COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW

FortFS (Fort Financial Services) is a Belize-registered online forex & CFD broker that was rebranded in 2014. The broker used to be known as Tradefort, which was owned by One Vector Group Inc., but is now simply branded as FortFS. The broker has been operating since 2010, and is regulated by the Belize government regulator known as IFSC.

FortFS is most recently known for receiving multiple awards in the 2017 Forex Awards, such as the ‘Best Execution Broker’ and ‘Best Forex Broker Middle East’. It has remained a popular choice amongst traders in the Middle East because of its heavy local presence in that region. Although the broker serves clients globally, it unfortunately does not serve US residents.

The broker offers clients four different platforms to choose from for forex and CFD trading – MetaTrader 4 and 5, CQG and NinjaTrader. It also provides a comprehensive comparison between the different platforms to help clients choose which platform best suits their needs. Offering a variety of platforms also allows for more flexibility in trading.

FortFS has recently expanded its services to include CFD trading based on cryptocurrencies. Clients are free to trade Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Ripple, and Dash, which are among the most popular coins in the market today.

Several traders have praised FortFS for their Newbie Account, which is an account that inexperienced traders can open to trade with very easily. In the event of a loss after closing a trade, FortFS will instantly compensate 10% of the loss. This is the company’s way of showing support to first-time traders and encourage them to keep on trading despite initial losses.

There is also a fixed leverage of 1:1,000 for the Newbie Account, which allows new traders to really boost their buying power in the market and make more substantial profits even though their trading capital may be low.

FortFS offers more than 140 currency pairs for trading, including rare additions such as the Czech koruna (CZK). They also have fixed spread accounts for more experienced traders to trade many of the more exotic currencies.

Traders have expressed satisfaction with FortFS’ effective customer support, with some traders pointing out that it took less than 20 minutes to set up a new account, given how effective their customer service was. Verification of ID is done easily after clients upload proof of their identity. They also have an easy-to-use interface which helps the overall customer experience.

The broker’s website is clear and concise, and contains lots of useful information for traders, including a useful economic calendar, fundamental and technical analysis of various markets, and even a list of trading recommendations that users can read for free. The website is currently offered in 14 different languages, which makes FortFS a truly global broker.

FortFS has been continuously expanding in Asia in recent years, and now has one office in Jakarta, Indonesia and an educational center based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in addition to its headquarter in Belize.

FortFS offers standard terms when it comes to its deposit and withdrawal service. For online payment services such as WebMoney, payments can be processed instantly. For other means of payment, the processing time depends on the method chosen, and can take up to 7 days for traditional international bank transfers. Unfortunately, deposits and withdrawals in cryptocurrency is not available with this broker.
